Palin for 2012?!? ...Wait ... Really?!?

I thought after a much needed hiatus to clear my thoughts and apply for more jobs I should hit July with something political. Tis the season! Anyway, I am starting to get very very concerned about our great nation, and this concern has been prompted by, among many other things, hearing the latest buzz around Sarah Palin's prospective candidacy. If we as a society, even if on the conservative end of the spectrum, allow her to achieve the Republican nomination... HOLY @*#%!!!!

How can we possibly let this happen? I realize that the unprivileged majority of us (95% or so of Americans) are gravely worried about the nation's economic state of affairs. Is this, however, any reason to dig our hole a few hundred feet deeper than it already is? Lets face it, the B U S H (II) presidency was a key factor to our current dilemma, and now like the masochistic nation we apparently are... we want more. *sigh*

If you follow the news, which I am sure if you are reading this blog you do, than you are undoubtedly aware of some of the absolute garbage tea-baggers are spewing regarding the Obama Administration's spending. Furthermore, they have the uneducated and stubborn among us, who scarily buy into neo-con propaganda all too easily, worried that the end is nigh because of it. Wave a flag around, mix with some cheering and crowds of white people who look like you, and unfortunately Palin may very well become our next president.

Its a hard pill to swallow, and I shake my head every day at the short-lived collective memory of our nation. Let us not forget that even the most CONSERVATIVE estimates put G.W.'s spending at 11.5 trillion over his 8 year presidency. Some have estimated it was actually upwards of 20 trillion. Now I am no math wiz, but I can tell you that what Obama has proposed over the duration of his presidency utterly pales in comparison. Furthermore, to contextualize Bush's spending, he increased the national budget by 104% over that of Clinton!!! And, why? Oh I don't know... a baseless war in Iraq ... a rise in non-military discretionary spending by 96% ... the list goes on my friends.

Unfortunately, we have forgotten all of this, and for the life of us we cannot understand why the Obama Administration has failed to completely untie the knot that was the Bush Administration in not even 2 years. Palin has to be the answer!! *eye roll* Don't fool yourselves. She is too stupid not to surround herself with the same minds that orchestrated the Bush Administration. It will be out-of-control spending tempered by a wave of the flag and speeches about terrorism and family values, which apparently have some unnatural calming effect on the ignorant.
